TrivandrumLife.com>> The Public Works Department has got approval for proposal for construction of Peruman bridge connecting Peruman and Munroe Island in Kollam.
The Rs 39.9 crore bridge will come up over Astamudi lake, informed Public Works minister G Sudhakaran in a statement.
The PWD has initiated tender proceedings for the Peruman bridge. The bridge would uplift the tourism potential of Munroe island which is known for canal cruise. Munroe island or Munroethuruthu is a group of eight small islets having a total area of about 13.4 sqkm.
