TrivandrumLife>> A person who is a magician and mentalist can do wonders. What if he is also a good editor? Meet Trivandrum-native Sandeep Fradian, who is the man behind several viral videos.
Sandeep, a resident of Vanchiyoor, has effectively utilized his creative skills during lockdown. The short duration videos he created during the lockdown have become viral hits. Sandeep’s popularity shot up when US internet sensation Zach King selected his video as ‘Magic of the month’ from around 6000 submissions three months ago.
Twenty-three year old Sandeep was drawn towards magic and editing at a very young age. “As a class X student, I was surprised by the making video of the film ‘Yanthiran’. Its editing amazed me and I started learning. Thus, at the age of 17, I joined ACV news as a programme editor. During one such work, I met magician Shamsuddin Cherpulassery. Inspired by his works, I started learning magic at Magic Academy and later joined Magic Planet, where I worked as mentalist for three years. I did around 3000 shows during that time across Kerala,” said Sandeep. He has edited various award winning short films and web series.
It was during lockdown that Sandeep began making short videos to fine tune his editing skills. The videos which got a few videos initially, started getting popular soon and actors like Pearly Maaney shared it.
Sandeep has two youtube channels Mad Magic Mind and Pheonix Brothers, which he runs with his friend RJ Pappn. Sandeep said that the youtube channels were aimed to provide tips and support in making creative videos.
Sandeep, who has worked as assistant editor in films, is in discussions to edit feature films.
