‘Sufiyum Sujathayum’, which has a stellar cast of Jayasurya and Aditi Rao Hydari is all set for world premiere in Amazon Prime.
Produced by Vijay Babu of Friday Film House, the film is directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas. Confirming the OTT release, Vijay Babu wrote in facebook, “A thrilling Musical affair of hearts await. In what would be a first for Malayalam Cinema, Sufiyum Sujathayum, will be releasing across the world on Amazon Prime”.
It is learned that the film exhibitors are planning to boycott producers opting for OTT release. Apart from Sufiyum Sujathayum, other high profile films such as Shoojit Sircar-film Gulabo Sitabo, Vidya Balan-starrer biopic Shakunthala Devi, Jyothika-starrer Ponmagal Vandhal, Tamil-Telgu film Penguin and Kannada films Law and French Biriyani are setting for release in Amazon Prime in period between May and August.
