In a first of its kind initiative, Lifology Parents Summit was held on July 11th & 12th, drew a record participation of 10,000 attendees drawn from 100 cities around the world. Over 100 schools participated in this event drawing an enthusiastic response. Guinness World record holder EdTech Lifology organised the “Parent Summit” in which global experts joined to interact with parents and students to explore the future of education in the oost COVID-19 world.
Lifology Parents Summit hosted a range of luminaries from the field of education- Academicians, School Leaders, global experts, EdTech organizations, Policy makers and Mentors – to address two key issues: how to leverage career guidance for national development and how to envision education for the emerging global workforce.
The digital conclave had an august panel comprising of Supreme Court Judge (Former) Justice Kurian Joseph, Biswajit Saha (CBSE Director), Manipal Global Education Chairman Mohandas Pai, Henrik Von Scheel, Management thinker from Germany, Dr. Marilyn Maze (USA) and other global experts.
Dr Sandeep Sacheti (Vice Chancellor, SRM University), Lokesh Mehra (Head of Amazon AWS Academy, South Asia), Diplomat Dr TP Srinivasan, Dr Michael Gernon (Chief Education Innovation Officer, GEMS Dubai), Dr Farooq Wasil, Parvin Dabas (Bollywood actor), Dr PC Jaffer IAS (Karnataka), Louis Rodrigues (Portugal) and other eminent thought leaders also participated in the conference.
In all, 50 internationally renowned academicians converged to share insights into the new evolving world situation. The Summit also dwelt on bridging the digital divide, and handling the mental/physical and digital wellness of students in these challenging times. The conference hosted academicians from Harvard Business School, London School of Economics, APCDA (UK), IIM (A) and social organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Supreme Court (Former) Judge Justice Kurian Joseph said “All Guidance starts from family, The family that eats and prays together grows together. Law as a career field has many possibilities emerging in cyber law, space law and intellectual property rights”
He also opined that “Parents usually advise or tell children what to do the important aspect is to lead by example and be a model for their children to follow. Values are a very critical aspect of success in life and instilling values in youth is one critical component of all education.
Putting the Summit in perspective, Praveen Parameswar, CEO of Lifology, said: “The present COVID-19 crisis changes the entire career guidance and the way parents & students make career decisions. More informed decisions and guiding are needed.”
