There is one speed cam installed at Kariyavattom(opposite university college main gate). Last night at around 12:30 at night, I was on my way back from Kollam and I felt this brief flash which I thought was from the street light coming in through the moon roof which was later confirmed by my dad as to it being a speed cam. The experience was the same as we have seen in car racing games (NFS Most Wanted). At that time the entire place was deserted and I might have been travelling at a nominal 100 kph to the max .

That’s not true. Ignoring the metros, people who travel around the country will accept that Kerala have better roads. I am not talking about the mammoth fly overs and six lane tracks. But in other cities, the road network is poor in not-so-remote places. Let is compare a place like vellayani in Trivandrum with it’s equialent place in any other states. You wont even see a road there.
I know a group of my friends from Xbhp.com who did a cross country road trip across India. No one else will know the roads better than some one who travelled the whole country in a two wheeler. They have appreciated that the roads in Kerala is far better than in other states. The infrastructure in Trivandrum is better when compared to other cities in Kerala, like the Delhi roads are better than Mumbai, even though Mumbai is more cosmopolitan.
Each and every day roads are dig and take long days / monts for repair.
True, because of the Japan project and the Road development works. Let’s wait till that is over.

Its really bad roads when compared to other metro cities and even small cities in kerala, think the people itself are not concerned about the roads. Each and every day roads are dig and take long days / monts for repair. I think the city still lacks the quality and standard in it to continue maintain its name as Capital City of a state.

Camera’s can now track 4-wheeler, 2-wheelers and pedestrians lying in road because of these diggings and pothholes in the roads. Think media can use it for their daily circulation increase photos.
