Welcome to God’s Own Country, Mr Manmohan Singh
It is incomprehensible why police have to block all the roads even ninety minutes before the Prime minister moves along it .I always wonder how things work out in Delhi ,if they block the roads like this every time PM moves out of the residence or his office. I mean it would be like traffic would be blocked for lion’s share of the day.
Even with all the inherent difficulties the normal public had to bear, I wish our honorable PM visits us at least once in a month. Only thing is that he should not travel through the same roads he traversed last time around .Every time he should be given a new route so that he would cover every nook and corner of the city and it seems that is the only way we could have at least partially tarred average roads.
The frenzy in which the road maintenance was going on in the city just 2 days prior to the PM’s visit was mind-boggling. There were PWD workers .contractors ,sub contractors doing all sorts of things -filing up the pot holes, tarring patches of road ,painting the dividers ,redrawing the road markers ,sweeping off even the sand. Even though in the end the road looked like a corpse after post mortem, it was infinitely times better than one with the innards strewn around. Now in the least we could travel through those roads without the fear of being thrown off balance by PWD’s well disguised pot holes.
Thanks PM ,because of you our spines would last a bit longer .
