Trivandrum Wakes Up To Fashion

I was pleasantly surprised to read about a fashion show to be held in Trivandrum which lagged behind this concept. The model hunt was for two categories in male and female, but it was flexible enough to accommodate a slot for two kids aged 9 and 12. The event was held in SP grand Days Inn, Panavila Jn, Tvm on July 11th. Out of the 90 odd guys and gals who turned up, 34 were selected for a grooming session to be held later. The judges were Mr. Dalu, a famous fashion choreographer, Ms. Diya Menon and Sakshi, a costume designer. the models were asked to do a cat walk/ramp walk, self-introduction and a Q&A session with the judges. Ms. Archana Nair, Miss Kerala 2009 also turned up at the venue. After the event, group photos were taken and all dispersed by 6pm. The grooming session was held at Hotel Classic Avenue, Thampanoor on 22-25 July wherein about 20 took part, including the two kids. The session was on proper posture, correct ramp walk, diet and fashion tips, fashion choreography etc. Buffet lunch was provided on all days. Mr. Dalu has promised to include some of the guys in his future fashion shows.

Green House fashion, Kannur also held auditions for the a model hunt in Trivandrum at Hotel Classic Avenue, Thampanoor on July 16th. The response was quite poor because the event was not well-publicised.

Another fashion extravaganze ‘Dream festival 2010 is to held in Trivandrum in October 2010 wherin competitions would be held for 3 categories, best singer, best dancer and best model. This event is organised by Nexus and Krixna group and the brand ambassador is Tamil cine star Richard(brother of Baby shalini)
