TidyCity Spreading Awareness To School Kids
Tidycity - voluntary association started by a group of concerned citizens, will be conducting an awareness drive for school kids at St. Shanthal school, Trivandrum on on July 17, Saturday. The volunteers will spread awareness on anti-littering and waste reduction to the young kids with presentations, videos, interactive sessions and quiz. A poster design competition will be held in parallel to these activities.
This will be the second awareness activity to school kids by TidyCity, first one which was held at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan on 20th Feb 2010, during last academic year. The success with kids on the first attempt and understanding the need for educating the youngsters for a clean city Tidycity has taken up the challenge again and this time, they are planning it to be better than the previous one.
Though these campaigns, Tidycity is trying to bring it to the attention of the people that they are not doing their part. They are trying to remind them certain practices that we should all observe, but dont – only because we just forgot about it. They are trying to convey a very important message – that every individual can make a difference! “What can one person do” – is the question most people ask. But what one person does can and will make a difference!
A much appreciated effort by a group of Trivandrumites, and any one can volunteer with them in future activities. For more details you can contact them by filling up this form:
