The Palayam-Thampanoor thriller!

After years of agonizing waiting the Bakery junction Fly-over has become a reality. The project thought to have been lost amidst controversies and improper management has finally come to being !… An end to the numerous traffic jams , detours  and bad roads from thampanoor to palayam…

Or thats what I thought When I heard that the new fly-over was being inaugurated yesterday .  I grabbed my camera and thought I would have a personal tour of the thampanoor palayam stretch . This is what I saw!

At first I thought that somebody had forgotten to remove the sign, and ignoring it I walked past it and started taking a few snaps.

The bridgecomes to an abruprt end at panavila jn. From there you have two options
a : Go back
B : Take your chances against the 500 m war-zone till u reach model school jn

Stage :2 – firing range – Those lucky enough to get past the 5 ft high hurdles with all their wheels intact now have to avoid getting hit by the rouge 6ers hit by budding sachins of chenkalchulla .

And to top it off at the end of the road, pray that u don’t get squashed by the 2 tonne pipes stacked by the side of the road!

At present ,the fly-over would have to be termed useless unless your destination is  panavila  junction and you are athletic enough to jump the police barricades.

The reality is that there are months of work still to be done on and around the flyover. Especially the approach road from Thampanoor.
