KSRTC JNNURM Semi-Low Floor Non A/c Bus Started Service

JNNURM-semi-low-floor-non-ac-bus-Trivandrum-ksrtcThe first bus from the Semi-Low floor Non Ac fleet of 120 JNNURM buses will start service in Trivandrum today. With a minimum charge of Rs.5/- it will cover the route Eastfort-Medical College-Mannanthala-Peroorkada-Vattiyoorkave-Ilippode-Thirumala-Poojappura-Karamana-Eastfort. Services start from Eastfort at 6.15, 8.45, 11.00, 1.40, 4.00, 6.35.

This will be the first one among the alloted 120 semi-low floor buses from Ashok Leyland. The buses are said to be of high standards with air suspension and quality seats for better comfort, LED boards and  rear mounted engines. There will be two doors of 1100mm width, one in the front and one in middle which are controlled by driver. This will facilitate easy entry and exit for the passengers. Semi Low floor non A/c buses are painted green and will be having JNNURM and KSRTC logos.

With a rate close to normal services, we are sure the Semi-low floor Non A/c buses will make profit. More buses are expected to arrive by June first week.

    Good development, whatever be the looks.

    The Govt. shall try to save the Volvo also. First of all, the fares have to be reduced.

    Lol,recently in news it came that low floor bus is running loss in tvm and profit in kochi.

    Its about time… These busses should should have been running decades ago. Thanks to government monopoly on transportation, it took this long.
