Jazz Connect by Alliances Françaises at The Leela Kempinsky
The Alliances Françaises in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram, the Goethe-Institutes in Bangalore and Chennai and the Goethe Centres in Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram, in association with the Bangalore School of Music, present an exceptional musical encounter between three talented jazz musicians from Bangalore, Berlin and Paris in Thiruvananthapuram through
JAZZ CONNECT on 16 July, 6.30pm at The Leela Kempinsky , Kovalam.
Dr. V. Venu IAS, Secretary, Department of Tourism will inaugurate the programme which will be graced by French Consul General, Pondicherry and German Consul General, Bangalore.

Jazz Connect brings together musicians from three nations – France, Germany and India in a unique contemporary celebration of century-old traditions in music. JazzConnect is a multi-city, inter-cultural music project sponsored by the Élysée Fund, designed on the one hand to showcase top musical talent from the three participating nations, and on the other to offer local musicians the opportunity to interact with the band, in an exciting four-way cultural exchange.The JazzConnect tour of the South Indian cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram features German Pianist Uli Lenz, French Saxophonist Francois Jeanneau and Indian Percussionist Muthu Kumar Varadarajan.
The three musicians from three different countries come together to create a unique harmony, embodying the true spirit of inter-cultural friendship and exchange.
Jazz Connect is aimed at bringing together the cultures of Europe and India, thus promoting friendship and enhancing the relations through cultural exchange. The project is a very real and tangible movement to bring together the citizens of the world.
