Jazz Concert By Wolfgang Haffner In Tagore Theater
After rocking the city with Black Rust Goethe-Zentrum is back with another musical evening. On March 20th, a Jazz Concert by Wolfgang Haffner will be conducted at Tagore Theater from 7:00 PM.
Having worked with numerous musicians from all over the world during the last two and a half decades Haffner, as a percussionist and drummer played himself to the front rows of the international music scene. His discography as a drummer includes more than 400 records, though he gained recognition as a bandleader and composer as well.
For the first time in 2007 Wolfgang Haffner was on tour in Germany with his trio for the album “Acoustic Shapes”. Ever since, this trio is playing sold out concerts all over Europe, and in June 2009 Haffner received the German Jazz Award for his Album “Shapes”.

On the tour “Round Silence” 2009/2010 Haffner presents his album “Round Silence” in Asia and Europe.

the concert was great, not too many jazz enthusiasts, but people enjoyed plenty..surprised by the number of things going on in tvm..theres a dance workshop from the 26th till the 9th of april and a prg on april 9th at vyloppilli samskriti bhavan by Anna Sokolow. And no, i'm not part of some promo team.
