Ividam Swargamanu Running Full In Sreekumar
If you are planning to watch “Ividam swargam aanu”, i would advice you to reserve your ticket. Its running housefull and i had to stand in the sun for 20 mins before i got the ticket and there were plenty behind me! Mathew (Mohanlal) with all his hardwork and sweat helps his father Jermies (Thilakan) put up an impressive farm. Aluva Chandy (Lalu Alex) is portrayed as a land grabber who wants “Jermies farm” for selfish motives. Mathew doesnt support the land mafia, and the story proceeds with how Mohanlal relieves his paradise.
The scenic beauty is undoubtedly exceptional, and to go with it all an organised farm. There’s not even a single song but the background score is commendable. There are a few hilarious scenes but dont take a kid along with you (i did and she was all restless) Also Shankar who has a supporting role in the film, made a good comeback.
All this was about the film, and now coming to what i felt. Mohanlal and all the characters have delivered their best but there is something which made me feel uneasy. There’s a frustration as you watch the first half of the film when literally all the characters are shown corrupt and how all the people in the village turn against him, and there’s this sequence of showing corrupt people one after the other…. It reminds me of an old Mohanlal film, Mithunam. The second half of the film is pleasant and relieving. Sreenivasan, Jagathy as accustomed to the audience, are worth mentioning. Female characters (LAkshmi Rai, Lekshmi Gopalswamy and Priyanka) don’t have momentous roles but they are seen in and out throughout the film.
On all counts this film is worth watching!

n its a nice review akshaya…
Really good movie. Nice to see Mohanlal back as a common man.
Excellent movie. The best among the X’mas releases. Kudos to James Albert for the screenplay & Rosshan Andrrews for the direction. Mohanlal & Lalu Alex were excellent through out the movie. Second half is more enjoyable than the first half.
Good movie.Amicus curiae..hehe
Inspired from Khosla ka Ghosla…but not a shameless frame to frame copy like Happy husbands(no entry) & April fool(bheja fry).James Albert is cleverer than Krishna Poojappura or Jagadish.
