International Book Fair With Frankfurt Book Fair Authority
The city is all set for another book fair, and this time apart from selling and purchasing books, publishers are also welcome to trade copyright. The 3rd Trivandrum book fair with Frankfurt Book Fair Authority will be coordinated by the state Institute for children’s literature. The 11 day fair begins on Dec 18th and Miguel Angel Ramirez Ramos, the Cuban ambassador will inaugurate the fair.
Rights Table
The distinguishing feature of this Book fair is the Right’s Table which aims to educate the publishers about copyright information of various books which will make it easier for them to trade rights. The rights table will be held from Dec 20 to 22 and a total of 40 Indian publishers will chip in, inclusive of 10 malayalam publishers. This event will be inauguarted by Nirmalkanthi Bhattacharya, National book Trust.
Two workshops will be held related to the copyright trade and its relevance in Childrens Literature on Dec 18 and 21st. Many luminary individuals like Reneta Reichstein, Akshay Pathak, Urvasi Bhutaliya, Priya Kapoor, Ravi DC and Kannan Sundaram will address the crowd.
