Medical astrology is relatively new and was not used profusely by the old generation of astrologers due to lack of proper knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Way back in 1983, I developed a very keen interest in medical palmistry, which inspired me to make predictions about health of a wide cross section of people across India. The confidence which I gained, in medical palmistry finally culminated in to my zest in medical astrology. Due to my medical background, I took up seriously this branch in a research oriented way and as a result of which I could diagnose many diseases just from a correct horoscope. Horoscope is the store house of the events in the life of a native from birth to death. Ancient Masters, though gave some combinations / yogas for different diseases, those cannot be considered as an end. Each chart is unique. Planetary position at the time of birth together with the transit of the planets and vimshottari dasa (period) operating decide the onset of diseases.Today’s talk on Medical Astrology is meant for giving the general public an awareness regarding the diagnosis of diseases. Practitioner of Medical Astrology can predict diseases well in advance. When and which organ will be affected? What is the nature of affection? What is the prognosis? Is it curable? What are the planets causing ailments? Which houses are to be considered? The pathogenic effects of signs, the ailments associated with signs and planets will be discussed in detail. Many of the diseases from which mankind suffer can be predicted well in advance, just by the systematic study of a correct horoscope. The beginning of the disease can be known in advance so as to enable the native to resort to good treatment. During my practice, I often predicted ailments such as cancer, ulcer, gall bladder problem, kidney stone, diabetes, asthma, allergy, piles, tumor, fibroids, rheumatism, infertility and menstrual problems.
