Have you had ‘Irani’ food yet?

Before all you gourmets go searching for Irani cuisine,let me make this clear.Irani Fast food is a busy food joint at Ayyankali square ,in front of HSBC bank.

Trust me friends, you will never have fast food this good.This ‘thattukada‘ serves its food great with a non-veg menu.You may go for chappatti, appam or parathas and choose between chicken and beef to go with it.

Mother of all food that is fast..IRANI FAST FOOD.

A make shift van serves as the joint.The owner ,who is a very jovial, hardworking man sits at the ‘wheel’ where you can place your order and chat up while you wait. The delivery itself is pretty fast, considering the often long queue.You can either take away or have it on the spot.They provide plastic plates,a cup of water and a general feeling of bonhomie.The ambience (if I can use the word)is good ,what with watching the night time traffic moving around Ayyankali square from this  quiet corner of the kerb .And the price points are moderate as well.Food for two on any menu will cost only below Rs.180.

Being a fan, I love going to Irani fast food whenever I feel like a night time stroll and too lazy to cook.The place is frequented by many,both executives,families and couples.Any night the place has a hit above 80.

The timing is between 7.30 and 11,give or take a few minutes.And the food almost feels home made by the generous splash of spices and good will.

    Lookin forward to it.. I presumed it would be an irani food joint.. That is one thing I miss here in Kerala.. Nice read.. and playful thanks for the review.. but would have loved to know a bit more about what they serve .. the ambience seems to be good

    The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
